Nordic Paper is a specialized paper mill located in Quebec. Unique in our specialization in Quebec, we are currently looking for a Quality, Environment, and Technical Service Coordinator. You have experience in pulp and paper and want to take on several challenges, join our team!

We are proud to meet all FDA food contact requirements and have taken many initiatives to implement SQF standard, edition 9. Furthermore, the processes and ingredients used in the plant meet the kosher certification.

The person supervises quality control operations, laboratory tests, new product development, environmental standards compliance, SQF standard tracking and compliance, chemical product selection and purchase for paper production. He collaborates to determine cost returns and follows up with customers and complaints.

Additionally, he will also order pulp for paper production.

  • Daily quality tracking;
  • Manage the SQF program;
  • Manage customer complaints and corrective actions;
  • Issue analysis certificates to customers;
  • Perform analysis of samples submitted for new products;
  • Develop specifications, pulp recipes and surface treatments for new products and perform machine trials;
  • Track environmental compliance;
  • Annual reports and updates required by MENVIQ;
  • Select chemical products and requisitions for chemical products;
  • Issue technical documentation to customers: Specifications, FDA compliance letters, CONEG, Proposition 65, Food allergens, etc.;
  • All other related tasks

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and/or a combination of professional experience combined with technical training

Experience in pulp and paper is an asset

  • Advanced English
  • Monday to Friday schedule from 8 am to 4 pm (37.5 hours/week)
  • Salary to be discussed

Knowledge of SQF standard is an asset.
