Your Daily Life at Stantec

As a Construction Site Supervisor – Mechanical Building at Our Quebec Office, You Will Collaborate With The Project Team, Architects, And Clients In The Realization Of Major Building Projects And Be Responsible For The Supervision And Compliance Of Work In Relation To Plans And Estimates As Well As The Coordination Between The Various Technical Intervenants, Construction Managers, Specialized Contractors, And The Client. Among Other Things, You Will Need To:

  • Monitor The Implementation And Installation Of Mechanical Systems And Equipment According To Applicable Standards;
  • Track Technical Documents;
  • Participate In Site Meetings With Contractors;
  • Find Solutions To Site Issues;
  • Issue Change Orders And Site Memos To Contractors;
  • Negotiate Additional Work Costs;
  • Verify And Approve Payment Requests;
  • Issue Work Compliance Certificates, Identify Non-Compliances, And Produce Deficiency Lists;
  • Recommend To The Project Manager Regarding Work Acceptance;
  • Verify And Approve End-Of-Construction Documents;
  • Respect And Enforce Health And Safety Rules On Sites;
  • Measure And Control Quantities Executed On Site;
  • Produce Detailed Site Activity Reports And Track Work Progress;
  • Analyze, Negotiate, And Recommend Additional Work As Needed;
  • Participate In The Production Of Final Project Reports And Plans "TQC";
  • Receive And Respond To Change And/Or Waiver Requests From Specialized Contractors During The Construction Phase;
  • Analyze Contract Execution Technical Issues And Participate In The Search For Appropriate Solutions;
  • Participate In Work Acceptance, Project Engineering Coordination Meetings, As Well As Site Meetings.
  • Your Background
  • Bachelor's Degree And/Or DEC In Mechanical Engineering;
  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Relevant Experience In Mechanical Building Site Supervision;
  • Member Of The Order Of Engineers Of Quebec (An Asset);
  • Relevant Experience In The Field Of Engineering Consulting (Important Asset);
  • ASP Construction Card;
  • Valid Driver's License And Access To A Car.
