We are looking for an audiovisual specialist to fill a permanent position .

In addition to working directly with the Information Technology Service, you will work closely with the ExpoCité service and management.

THE CHALLENGES

As an Information Systems Advisor, you will act as a specialist in the audiovisual and technological field . Your role will be essential in maintaining the audiovisual, technological, and telecommunications equipment of the Vidéotron Center. Additionally, you will be responsible for specialized equipment replacement projects, validating technical solutions proposed by external firms, and contributing to the management of operational risks in an event context.

More Specifically, This Implies

  • Taking charge of specialized equipment replacement requests, ensuring the management of the complete intervention cycle, from needs analysis to commissioning;
  • Analyzing and validating proposed technical solutions, ensuring their compliance, interoperability, and alignment with the site's operational and technological requirements;
  • Formulating structured technical recommendations, guiding investment choices, and optimizing the lifecycle of audiovisual and technological assets;
  • Actively contributing to the management of operational risks, identifying critical components, and deploying mitigation strategies to ensure the continuity of operations;
  • Coordinating the deployment of technological replacements, including planning end-of-life audits, preparing bids, procurement processes, and executing projects in collaboration with stakeholders;
  • Acting as a reference expert in audiovisual and technologies, supporting internal teams, ensuring practice consistency, and contributing to future investment planning.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Holding a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or business administration (with an option in organizational information systems management);
  • Possessing a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience for the position. Any other set of education and experience deemed equivalent may be considered;
  • Having general knowledge of information technology equipment (audiovisual, network equipment, computer room management, cabling, etc.);
  • Having experience in the management and operation of IT assets, financial reporting, budget management, and operations management;
  • Having a deep understanding of the interactions between network infrastructure and audiovisual;
  • Having knowledge of IT security and compliance standards;
  • Having excellent communication and outreach skills to a varied audience;
  • Having the ability to promote, through actions and decisions, a client-focused approach and a participative management approach focused on teamwork;
  • Being innovative and demonstrating leadership to make informed decisions;
  • Possessing strong skills in change management, knowledge management, team mobilization, work organization, and benevolence;
  • Being able to act in an event context (shows, sports events, conferences, etc.). The person must act quickly under pressure, adapt to unforeseen events, and minimize service interruptions to meet event schedules;
  • Being available to work occasionally evenings and weekends;
  • Holding a valid Class 5 driver's license at all times.
