Main Responsibilities

Hydraulic and Hydrologic Studies

  • Conduct diagnostic studies on the service level and performance of water supply, stormwater, sanitary sewer, and river networks.
  • Participate in the preparation of master plans for water network management (water supply, stormwater, and sanitary).
  • Conduct feasibility studies for municipal development projects.
  • Perform hydraulic, hydrologic, technical, and economic analyses to recommend the most appropriate solutions.
  • Participate in hydraulic and hydrologic modeling using specialized software such as PCSWMM and HEC-RAS.
  • Maintain up-to-date numerical models and ensure the integration of technical data.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate data collection campaigns (flow measurements, piezometric levels, rain gauges, network tests, etc.).
  • Analyze collected data to improve model calibration and technical recommendations.
  • Prepare studies, technical reports, and presentations for clients.
  • Advise municipalities and partners on issues related to stormwater management, climate resilience, and infrastructure performance.
  • Design – Plans and Estimates
  • Participate in the design of municipal projects (water supply, sewers, drainage, roads, culverts, and related works).
  • Perform required engineering calculations.
  • Prepare plans, estimates, and tender documents in accordance with MTQ, MELCCFP, and municipal requirements.
  • Participate in the cost estimation of works.
  • Collaborate with technicians, drafters, surveyors, architects, and other professionals.
  • Construction Supervision
  • Perform general or continuous construction supervision.
  • Verify the compliance of works with plans, estimates, standards, and contractual requirements.
  • Participate in site meetings and write supervision reports.
  • Analyze and resolve technical issues encountered during construction.
  • Verify executed quantities and payment requests from contractors.
  • Project Management
  • Participate in project planning, scheduling, and budget control.
  • Follow up on environmental authorizations and required permits.
  • Collaborate with municipalities, ministries, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure rigorous documentation and file management.
  • Participate in the preparation of service offers, submissions, and tenders.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the company's procedures, policies, and technical standards.
  • Desired Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  • Member of the Quebec Order of Engineers (OIQ) or eligible to become one.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in consulting engineering, municipal engineering, or hydraulics.
  • Good knowledge of municipal infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Experience with PCSWMM, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS Pro, or QGIS (a plus).
  • Knowledge of MTQ, MELCCFP, and municipal practices (a plus).
  • Excellent analytical skills, autonomy, diligence, and organizational sense.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent French language skills, both oral and written.
  • Good English language skills, both oral and written, constitute an asset.
  • Valid driver's license and availability for occasional travel to project sites.
