Robotics / Automation / Mechatronics Specialist

PURPOSE

Under the supervision of the Technical and Automation Coordinator, the incumbent is responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and optimizing automation solutions to ensure the proper functioning of production equipment. They participate in project implementation, system commissioning, technical support, and continuous process and operational performance improvement, while ensuring the reliability, quality, and efficiency of automated installations. As needed, they perform any other tasks related to their duties.

YOUR ROLE

• Develop automated processes;
• Interface with intelligent sensors/systems of vision;
• Knowledge of robot programming language;
• Program industrial robots (ABB), PLCs (A&B and Beckhoff), and operator interfaces;
• Design and develop automation solutions (PLC, robots, interfaces, vision);
• Participate in control architecture and equipment integration;
• Perform testing, commissioning, and startup of automated lines;
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues in production;
• Select equipment needed for automated project implementation;
• Demonstrate meticulousness, quality, and efficiency;
• Capable of working effectively under pressure in a continuously changing context.

PROFILE REQUIRED

• D.E.C. in electrical engineering technology, industrial electronics program, or B.A.C. in automated production engineering;
• 3 to 5 years of practical work experience;
• Proficiency in software, Robot Studio, TwinCAT, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View, Visual Studio Code would be an important asset;
• Industrial robot programming (ABB, FANUC, or other): 5 years;
• Industrial PLC programming;
• Human-machine interface (HMI) programming.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM;
• Full-time permanent position.
