The Global Manufacturing Organization is seeking an Associate Director, International Manufacturing, to join its leadership team, specifically within International Manufacturing Operations.

Pratt & Whitney Canada operates several manufacturing sites worldwide. In this strategic role, you will govern our international manufacturing network and promote the alignment of strategies, standards, best practices, resources, and technologies of Pratt & Whitney across our international sites.

As a member of the Global Manufacturing leadership team, you will play a key role in developing the organization's strategy, aligning business priorities, and achieving our commitments to our customers.

This position is based at our Longueuil plant and is performed on-site, Monday to Friday, on a part-time schedule. It also requires frequent international travel.

What Will Your Day Look Like?

• Define, promote, and continuously evolve the manufacturing strategy in partnership with the leadership teams of the various sites to ensure alignment with business priorities and achievement of health and safety, quality, operational performance, competitiveness, and growth objectives.
• Integrate geopolitical issues into strategic decisions to ensure supply chain security and the resilience of our global manufacturing network.
• Adopt a proactive risk management approach by anticipating potential issues and implementing preventive strategies rather than reacting only to critical situations.
• Govern the Global Manufacturing strategic portfolio, including five-year strategic plans, capital investments, operating expenses, and business transformation initiatives, ensuring effective prioritization and optimal resource allocation.
• Guide strategic decisions regarding global production capacity, asset utilization, manufacturing footprint, and workforce planning by providing recommendations to senior leadership.
• Serve as a strategic partner to the manufacturing site directors, business units, and corporate functions to harmonize priorities, address cross-functional issues, and optimize resource deployment across the global network.
• Identify, prioritize, and lead large-scale transformation initiatives that promote process standardization, operational excellence, performance improvement, and the adoption of best practices across all global manufacturing operations.
• Establish governance frameworks, performance indicators, and management systems that promote operational excellence, continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, and team accountability.
• Collaborate with the Global Supply Chain, Strategic Procurement, and Global Industrial Transitions teams to proactively identify risks, strengthen the resilience of the manufacturing network, and support strategic internalization and manufacturing transfer initiatives.
• Exercise functional leadership at international sites to ensure the uniform application of Pratt & Whitney's standards for operational excellence, quality, environment, health, and safety (EH&S), regulatory compliance, and manufacturing performance.
• Sponsor and lead high-impact continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging Lean principles, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to accelerate the transformation of global manufacturing operations.
• Lead complex, multidisciplinary global strategic programs that significantly impact manufacturing performance, production capacity, operational capabilities, and the evolution of the global manufacturing footprint.
• Develop and maintain influential relationships with senior leadership and key internal partners to foster collaboration, organizational alignment, and achievement of the company's strategic objectives.
• Perform any other tasks as needed to achieve business objectives and the evolution of the Global Manufacturing Organization.
• What Do You Need to Succeed?

This strategic and multidimensional role requires a leader capable of influencing and mobilizing teams remotely to achieve business results, as well as a strong background in transformation and continuous improvement project management.

You also possess the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in an operational manufacturing environment within the aerospace sector.
• Mastery in a relevant field (an asset).
• Recognized expertise in project management within an industrial, preferably manufacturing, environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills through a creative and innovative approach.
• Proven leadership influence and demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Recognized technical expertise and demonstrated experience in coaching, team mobilization, and achievement of operational objectives. Experience as a change agent in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Experience in production transfer or manufacturing source transitions.
• Excellent communication skills and experience presenting to senior leadership.
• Recognized knowledge of Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies.

This position is set in a French-speaking work environment, but requires very good English proficiency to read and understand, on a daily basis, technical documentation and terms that may originate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with international clients, suppliers, or colleagues.
