You are the perfect candidate for this position if you recognize yourself in the following:
You hold the necessary training to perform the role: Mechanical Engineering Technology or Industrial Engineering Technology, or other relevant training and experience.
You possess the essential technical knowledge: You have 5-7 years of relevant experience on the manufacturing floor in a high-mix low-volume environment; Experience with the manufacturing system (Syspro asset), Experience in the forestry industry (asset)
You demonstrate: You demonstrate a strong capacity for analysis and problem-solving that allows you to identify the causes of technical issues and propose concrete and sustainable solutions. You demonstrate rigor, precision, and a concern for detail in the realization of prototypes, the design of tooling, and the maintenance of technical documentation. You also demonstrate autonomy, a good sense of organization, and excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with production teams, engineering teams, and other departments of the company.

- You will manufacture, assemble, and test prototypes and new components.
- You will design and produce tooling to optimize the efficiency and ergonomics of workstations.
- You will collaborate on updating 3D/2D drawings, procedures, and production instructions.
- You will conduct research and evaluation of components and new suppliers.
- You will analyze the causes of equipment or component failures and propose sustainable solutions.
- You will participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at performance, quality, and productivity.
- You will support team leaders in interpreting and applying manufacturing drawings.
- You will promote knowledge transfer between different departments by identifying training needs.
- You will provide technical support to various teams within the organization, especially during the sugar season.
