Under the supervision of the client project manager, the project manager is the main point of contact for the client. From the receipt of the signed quote to the shipment of the order. It is the orchestra conductor ensuring the progress of client projects by being the liaison between the different departments of Norbec (Sales, estimation, design, R&D, production, logistics, Installation and customer service).
Job Responsibilities
Work in collaboration with the estimation team in the case of major and complex projects so that the evaluations communicated to customers are as accurate as possible;
Examine quote requests and customer POs;
Prepare quote requests based on customer needs (resale products not listed to suppliers, logistics);
Negotiate storage fees if applicable;
Participate in project governance:
Contribute to launch meetings with all stakeholders (R&D, sales, etc.), if additional information is needed, plan and lead a launch meeting;
Plan and lead launch meetings with customers, the sales service for complex projects;
Plan and lead meetings with the production and procurement departments for the follow-up of customer orders (Coordinate production and shipment dates);
Ensure communication and follow-up with the client from start to finish of the project, in order to obtain missing information in the files or resolve discrepancies and finally give visibility to customers regarding the progress of their project;
Prepare approval drawings requests if necessary using the form provided for this purpose and validate them upon receipt before sharing them with customers. In the case where several revision requests of the drawings are initiated by the client, the project manager is responsible for informing the client of the additional cost. In this case, the project manager is responsible for using the specific revision tag so that the design team can proceed as quickly as possible and if the engineer's stamp is required, request it;
Create orders in Epicor and follow them up in the system until closure;
Follow up on job sites;
Provide support for after-sales service if necessary;
Follow up on the profitability of affected projects (costs, quality, time);
Coach and train team members, if necessary.
Required Education and Experience DEP or DEC in estimation, project management, architecture or equivalent training;
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position;
Experience in the construction industry or manufacturing environment (asset).
Key Skills Required
Goal-oriented and customer service-oriented;
Reading of plans and quotes;
Proficient with the Office suite;
Knowledge of AutoCAD (asset);
Reading of plans and quotes;
Knowledge of integrated management software (ERP);
Knowledge of e-Plans measurement report;
Knowledge of the different stages of the project life cycle;
Knowledge of SharePoint.
