Draftsperson

Under the supervision of the design team leader, the draftsperson is primarily responsible for continuously and rigorously generating a high volume of approval drawings based on sales proposals, order confirmations, and various available sources of information. The draftsperson must also work closely with design engineers and project managers to ensure adequate production, optimal execution, and smooth progress of ongoing projects. They must ensure a continuous flow of drawings to the factory to prevent any "breakdowns" that could cause production stoppages.

The incumbent is responsible for identifying any anomalies and communicating them effectively to their immediate supervisor, acting judiciously, and taking necessary actions to rectify the anomalies.

Job Responsibilities

• Draw approval plans;
• Revise approval plans;
• Draw assembly plans;
• Gather project-specific information from the project manager;
• Participate in departmental goals and the continuous improvement process;
• Respond to internal support requests;
• Prioritize work through the scheduling plan;
• Perform any other tasks related to the position.
• Required Education and Experience
• Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in building design, industrial design, or equivalent;
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar position for a manufacturing company in a related field.
• Key Required Skills
• Knowledge of AutoCAD software;
• Ability to read plans and estimates;
• Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
