Construction Miner - Ormaque

With an 8-year lifespan, the Lamaque mine, located just minutes from Val-d'Or in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, has reserves of 1,086,000 ounces and is the ideal location to support its employees in their development.

As a Construction Miner and Water Management Specialist, your primary role will be to ensure general construction work underground.

Under the supervision of the mine supervisor, your essential duties will include:

• Conducting pre-work checks, inspections, ventilation, and scaling of work areas
• Daily verification, inspection, and maintenance of equipment used
• Performing general construction work, formwork, concrete work, barricades, drilling, and repairs according to plans and estimates
• Maintaining, modifying, and repairing wood, concrete, or metal structures
• Preparing fill materials
• Ensuring optimal concrete projection
• Conducting pumping station tours to ensure optimal management of underground waters
• Working proactively by suggesting improvements related to assigned tasks, aiming to optimize safety, quality, and operational efficiency
• Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work environment
• Applying and complying with all applicable norms, regulations, standards, codes, and laws of Eldorado Gold and Quebec
• Performing any other tasks assigned by your supervisors.

Required Profile

• Possess a DEP in mineral extraction or a DEC in mining technology and/or relevant experience for the position
• Have 2 years of relevant experience in similar roles
• Hold modules FMTM 1 to 5 and 7
• Experience in welding (asset)
