Join a company specialized in heavy load lifting!
We are looking for an autonomous Health and Safety at Work (SST) Advisor to join a recognized company in the heavy load lifting sector.
You will work in an environment where health and safety are a priority. This role will allow you to share your expertise both in the workshop and on large-scale industrial projects, while supporting teams in applying best SST practices.
Training on lifting equipment will be provided. We are primarily looking for an experienced, autonomous individual who is eager to invest in a dynamic environment.
Your main responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections in the workshop and on construction sites.
- Complete checklists and SST compliance audits.
- Produce inspection reports and follow up on corrective actions.
- Host and conduct SST training sessions.
- Organize and facilitate SST committee meetings.
- Advise managers and workers on best practices in prevention.
- Participate in identifying, analyzing, and controlling risks.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and procedures.
- Support teams on large-scale industrial projects and maintain an active presence on-site.
- Promote a culture of prevention and continuous improvement.
Desired profile
- Experience as an SST Advisor in Quebec within an industrial or construction environment.
- Excellent autonomy and ability to take initiative.
- Experience in inspections, audits, investigations, and report writing.
- Experience in facilitating committees and SST training.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sense of organization and diligence.
- Ability to work in an environment with high risks associated with load lifting.
- Experience with cranes or lifting equipment (an asset). Training will be provided.
Working conditions
- Location: ... (office and workshop) with travel to large-scale projects in the region.
- Hours: Full-time – 40 hours per week, daytime.
- Work distribution: approximately 40% in the workshop and 60% on construction sites.
- Work vehicle provided.
- Workplace with approximately 40 employees.
