Under the responsibility of the Head - Technical Service for Railway Rolling Stock, you will be responsible for supporting the various stakeholders of railway rolling stock by participating in the lifecycle activities of these equipment, including: acquisition, engineering, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, modifications, major overhaul or compliance programs, obsolescence management, fault debugging, and commissioning and operation.
Main Responsibilities
- Design, document, validate, and implement procedures, modifications, improvements, replacements, or modernization of railway systems and/or equipment;
- Recommend necessary modifications to improve the reliability and safety of rolling stock, produce them, and support their implementation, while minimizing intervention costs;
- Write and/or comment on technical acquisition or repair service bids for railway rolling stock parts, in compliance with the laws under which public transportation companies are subject;
- Validate existing procedures, manuals, and/or drawings and/or those submitted by suppliers and ensure their tracking and implementation with the various stakeholders;
- Provide technical support to project managers in the implementation of mandates awarded to exo's suppliers, based on objectives, schedules, and pre-established budgets;
- Offer technical assistance to resolve breakdowns, defects, or premature wear issues and participate in the implementation of the identified solution, including any relevant modifications;
- Participate in degradation or abnormal use examinations of rolling stock or components and collaborate in identifying necessary correctives. As needed, support implementation and follow-up;
- Participate in the development of preventive and corrective maintenance plans to increase their effectiveness and improve equipment reliability;
- Collaborate in the development and implementation of major projects, repair or general overhaul projects;
- Participate in the acquisition of new rolling stock projects by involving themselves in the integration of this equipment into the current fleet;
- Participate in the development of technical bids and any other call for proposal documents related to the maintenance of railway rolling stock;
- May be called upon to participate in the rolling stock team's on-call service when requested, rotating with other team members.

Normal Post Requirements
Education
- College or university diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrotechnics, Avionics, or related fields;
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical position related to the transportation field;
- Experience in technical writing;
- Experience in railway rolling stock is an asset;
- Knowledge of current railway laws, regulations, and safety rules is an asset.
Skills and Abilities
- Have good knowledge of control and power electronics;
- Possess good knowledge of embedded computer and control systems;
- Have good technical writing skills in both French and English;
- Demonstrate autonomy, organization, and initiative oriented towards problem-solving;
- Possess analytical and synthesis skills;
- Have strong teamwork and collaboration skills;
- Have excellent interpersonal relationship skills;
- Be bilingual both orally and in writing;
- Knowledge of MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook);
- Knowledge or experience in a field related to mechanical engineering is an asset;
- Good knowledge of SAP software is an asset;
- Possess a valid Class 5 driver's license and have access to a vehicle.

- Home base at the headquarters, 1001 Boulevard Robert-Bourassa, 26th floor, Montreal, Quebec, H3B 4L4
- Shared time between remote work, on-site work at various maintenance centers and terminal garages, and presence at the headquarters
