Construction Estimator – Freelance (Residential & Commercial)

Structure Moderne Inc. is a company specializing in high-end residential renovations and commercial projects.

We are currently looking for an experienced freelance estimator to support our team on a project basis.

This role is ideal for an autonomous, meticulous person capable of estimating complete construction projects as a general contractor (GC).

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for complete construction projects (residential and commercial)
• Analyze plans, bids, and technical documents
• Perform quantity take-offs and estimate labor, material, and subcontractor costs
• Identify risks, omissions, and optimization opportunities
• Collaborate with our team for any clarification as needed
• Meet established deadlines for submission delivery

Requirements

• Confirmed experience as a construction estimator (residential and commercial)
• Excellent understanding of complete projects as a general contractor (demolition, structure, MEP, finishes, etc.)
• Mandatory knowledge of CCQ & RBQ standards and regulations
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple files simultaneously
• Must have own estimation tools / systems
• Good knowledge of local market costs (Quebec – a significant asset)
• Attention to detail and high precision
• Excellent communication skills (French required, English an asset)
