Mechanic

ALI Excavation inc. is a family-owned growing company operating in the civil engineering field for over 80 years. Our work includes water supply networks, sanitary and storm sewer systems, pumping stations, and other municipal infrastructure. Additionally, we perform excavation, paving, grading, roadway pulverization, curb and sidewalk construction, street shaping, and crushing work.

Under the supervision of the shop foreman, the mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing equipment in accordance with company rules, procedures, and policies.

Main Responsibilities: Your Tasks

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain company equipment and vehicles in our workshops and on job sites;
• Complete inspection, maintenance, and repair reports for equipment;
• Prepare lists of parts to order;
• Share knowledge and expertise with other mechanics;
• Work safely and keep the work area clean;
• Perform any other tasks necessary for the smooth operation of the service.

Join Our Team: Your Experience and Skills

• DEP in construction equipment mechanics or equivalent;
• DEP in construction equipment mechanics or equivalent;
• Valid Class 5 driver's license;
• Class 1 or 3 driver's license (an asset);
• Minimum of 3 years of experience;
• Excellent knowledge of electricity and hydraulics;
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics;
• Good knowledge of diagnostic software (engine, transmission, brakes);
• Strong welding skills (an asset);
• Willing to acquire new knowledge;
• Knowledge of electronic spreader systems ACE for salers (an asset);
• Preventive Maintenance Program (PEP) certificate (an asset).
