You will play a crucial role in the management and execution of multidisciplinary projects of significance in the field of bridges and civil engineering structures (POA). You will be responsible for the strategic leadership of the project, ensuring that the project objectives align with those of the company. You will make critical decisions to successfully complete the project, taking into account human, financial, and material resources. In summary, this role requires strategic leadership capable of orchestrating all aspects of a project, from planning to execution, ensuring that objectives are met within the given deadlines and budgets.
Main Responsibilities
- Meet with clients to plan their needs, prepare work plans, establish budgets, and schedules;
- Coordinate resources and technical professionals involved in the projects, ensuring effective communication with internal and external stakeholders (consortium partners and subcontractors) to ensure timely delivery and priorities;
- In collaboration with the project control team, assume responsibility for the cost control of the projects, including direct and indirect costs, to ensure their profitability according to the established objectives;
- In collaboration with various stakeholders, manage the projects administratively and contractually, including billing, collection, and contract management;
- Conduct rigorous project schedule tracking and produce monthly progress reports;
- Ensure the quality of the deliverables of the projects under your responsibility;
- Act as a technical reference in your area of expertise, solving complex problems and providing technical and contractual guidance to multidisciplinary teams;
- Actively participate in commercial development efforts with the client base, according to the needs of the segment;
- Act as a mentor to less experienced resources, sharing your knowledge in discipline and project management;
- Assume responsibility for any other aspect related to the nature of your functions.
- Your Profile
- University degree in engineering;
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar position;
- Experience in engineering consulting in the management of major projects;
- Be a member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ);
- Mastery of financial concepts and excellence in budget tracking;
- Negotiation and communication skills;
- Demonstrated aptitudes in project management;
- Bilingualism (French and English) would be an asset;
- Knowledge of English is considered an asset to provide support to our anglophone teams - ... Canadian.
