Senior Java Full Stack Developer

Techso is looking for a senior Java Full Stack developer to participate in the design and development of digital solutions used by major clients, in Montreal and internationally.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, contribute to architectural choices, mentor less experienced developers, and participate in improving our development practices.

Founded in Montreal in 2014, Techso helps organizations with their digital transformation through three areas of expertise: technological infrastructure management; custom application development; product lifecycle management, or PLM.

Our team works with clients recognized in several sectors, including aerospace, automotive, finance, events, and watchmaking.

What you will do

• Depending on the projects you are assigned, you may:
• design and develop new applications;
• evolve existing solutions by adding features and fixing issues;
• analyze client needs and contribute to the definition of solution architecture;
• write technical and functional specifications;
• estimate the efforts required for project implementation;
• participate in deployment and support change management;
• ensure code quality through reviews, unit tests, and development best practices;

contribute to the continuous improvement of our Agile methods, continuous integration, and automated deployment; participate in some pre-sales activities, such as effort evaluation and analysis of new technologies; share your expertise and mentor junior team members; collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in an Agile-Scrum environment.

The profile we are looking for

You have: a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant field; at least six years of experience in Java development; a strong mastery of object-oriented Java and Spring Boot; solid experience in front-end development with React, Angular, or Vue.js; good knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and tools like Hibernate; understanding of DevOps practices and continuous integration and deployment environments;

experience in an Agile and collaborative environment;

• good knowledge of Linux and Windows environments;

the ability to communicate professionally in French and English, as you will collaborate with colleagues and clients located in Quebec, elsewhere in Canada, and internationally; a good team spirit, autonomy, and a desire to actively contribute to proposed solutions.

What constitutes an asset

Experience with Azure DevOps;

• knowledge of NoSQL databases;

experience with ETL processes;

knowledge of other technologies such as Node.js, Python, C#, PHP, or complementary languages; experience in solution architecture, mentoring, or technical pre-sales.

You do not need to master each of these technologies. We are looking for an experienced, curious person who can adapt to the realities of different projects.
