Within our Building Sciences team in Montreal, you will participate in a variety of technical assignments that have a direct impact on the quality, safety, and longevity of buildings. By collaborating with seasoned professionals, you will contribute to projects involving the evaluation, expertise, inspection, and rehabilitation of building envelopes for a diverse clientele consisting of owners, developers, property managers, and institutions.

Your Impact

  • Collaborate on technical expertise assignments related to building envelopes.
  • Participate in facade and parking lot inspections in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct in-situ performance tests on fenestration and envelope systems.
  • Support quality assurance and construction supervision activities on job sites.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, quantity surveys, and budget estimates.
  • Participate in asset maintenance and facade, roof, and parking lot rehabilitation projects.
  • Collaborate on the production of plans, estimates, requests for proposals, and contractual documents.
  • Support project teams in document management and technical input control.

Skills that Set You Apart

  • Diploma in Architectural Technology or equivalent, or bachelor's degree in civil engineering, building engineering, construction engineering, or related discipline.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in building sciences or building envelope.
  • Knowledge of inspection, evaluation, and rehabilitation principles for building components.
  • Experience with software such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite; Revit is an asset.
  • Ability to analyze technical issues and propose suitable solutions.
  • Excellent technical writing and professional communication skills.
  • Bilingual in French and English.
  • Valid driver's license and availability for site visits.

  • Knowledge of thermal simulation software such as WUFI, THERM, or HEAT3.
  • Experience in managing consultants, contractors, or client relationships.
