As part of the construction of the Des Neiges Wind Farm – Charlevoix Sector project, a major project with a capacity of 400 megawatts including 57 wind turbines, Boralex is looking for a Construction Site Assistant.

  • You will play an important role in:

Under the project manager, you will be responsible for providing administrative support for the Des Neiges Wind Farm – Charlevoix Sector project, located in the Charlevoix Regional County Municipality, Quebec. As part of the construction activities of the project, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Maintain up-to-date site registers and ensure rigorous organization and structured storage of project documents and information;
  • Participate in the preparation of meeting minutes and site progress reports (daily reports, monthly reports, etc.);
  • Prepare and track purchase orders;
  • Account for costs using Excel or a cost control software;
  • Provide logistical support to the construction teams;
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of document control processes to ensure effective and compliant management of project documentation;
  • Support the project team in verifying, accepting, and recording technical, commercial, and administrative documents;
  • Participate in the implementation of the site contractor safety program, including weekly inspections;
  • Actively participate in site meetings.
  • To succeed in this role, you must have:
  • A college diploma or other qualifications related to the position;
  • Relevant experience in a similar administrative support and document management role;
  • Experience working in the construction of wind farms (an asset);
  • The ability to report and document information accurately and promptly;
  • A quick learning capacity and the ability to meet time constraints;
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as a sense of autonomy, diligence, and achievement;
  • A keen sense of organization and priority management;
  • Functional English (oral and written);
  • Excellent knowledge of the MS Office suite;
  • A valid driver's license.

This position requires on-site construction presence; however, part of the work can be done in a hybrid mode, and the work schedule is to be discussed. The project is approximately 24 months in duration. Additionally, construction needs are growing rapidly at Boralex.
