Detailed Description

Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, the Industrial Drafter is responsible for producing the schematics of refrigeration equipment. They will elaborate on the drawings of the equipment so that they can be manufactured in production. Additionally, they ensure coordination/communication between the sales team, production engineering, production, and after-sales service.

Specifically, in a teamwork and collaborative approach, and without restriction to the various tasks that may be added to achieve organizational and quality department objectives, the Industrial Drafter will perform the following tasks:

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Interpret submissions and refrigeration diagrams to assign product nomenclature, then modify or create appropriate drawings;
• Prepare the list of components (BOM) required for manufacturing and insert it into the ERP system;
• Design, create, and maintain up-to-date technical drawings using Autocad;
• Ensure the conformity of drawings according to customer requirements and standards;
• Participate in the quality process of correcting non-conformities;
• Collaborate with the production team by providing additional information;
• Other related tasks

Required Skills

• DEP in industrial drawing, DEC in Building Mechanics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent training;
• 1-3 years of experience in industrial drawing and BOM creation;
• Proficiency in Autocad software;
• Knowledge of ERP systems (Syteline, an asset);
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook);
• Ability to read plans and estimates;
• Comfortable with building mechanics (HVAC).
