SUMMARY

Under the responsibility of the Operations Director, the Production Director will be responsible for personnel management and the optimization of daily operations, from the receipt of raw materials to the delivery of finished products. He/She will collaborate closely with the departments of maintenance, quality, sales, human resources, and finance to achieve the set productivity and growth objectives.

Health and Safety Management

  • Work in partnership with the maintenance team to identify and implement corrective measures to improve the safety of equipment and facilities.

Operations Management

  • Maintain key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure cost analysis.
  • Organize and lead meetings to ensure effective communication and goal tracking.
  • Collaborate with the sales department to manage the order book and samples of new products.
  • Coordinate necessary downtime with the maintenance department.
  • Collaborate on engineering projects to improve production processes.
  • Actively participate in initiatives to optimize operations and increase efficiency.

Human Resources Management

  • Measure and analyze team performance and develop individual training and professional development plans for each employee.
  • Organize and assign tasks to each member of the supervisory team to ensure effective management.
  • Quickly and effectively resolve conflicts or issues within workplace relationships.
  • Anticipate and organize staffing needs based on production forecasts and strategic objectives.

Quality Management

  • Ensure the reduction of waste.
  • Collaborate closely with employees, as well as with the quality and sales departments, to ensure that products meet the highest quality standards.
  • Ensure the rigorous application of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), such as those defined by the AIB, to ensure product compliance and safety.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar management role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Degree in operations management or a related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Sharp sense of leadership with a strong ability to work in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English, both oral and written.
