Since 1984, the Aline-Letendre Foundation has been dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for residents of the Hôtel-Dieu de Saint-Hyacinthe, the largest public long-term care facility in Quebec. To achieve this, the Foundation raises funds and redistributes them to the CISSSME, enabling the organization of numerous leisure and well-being activities. Thanks to the Foundation, the living environment is enhanced, and medical equipment is purchased.
Required Qualifications/Skills
- Horticulture training
- Experience in a related field is desirable
- Sense of organization and attention to detail
- Good physical endurance
- Ability to work as a team
- Since the work is performed in the gardens of a long-term care facility, the person must be sociable, calm, and empathetic. Families and residents will interact with you on a daily basis!

- Enthusiasm, commitment, diligence, rigor, initiative, and sense of autonomy

Main Responsibilities
- In spring: Opening the gardens and planting annuals.
- During the season: Watering and fertilizing plants as needed, pruning and trimming shrubs, weeding flower beds, manually collecting Japanese beetles, maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetics of the green spaces, etc. Other tasks/projects may be added.
- In autumn: Closing the gardens.
Job Details
- Hourly wage of $20
- Seasonal full-time position
- Weekly schedule of 35 hours is distributed from Monday to Friday between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM, except on days of thunderstorms and rain. The number of working hours may vary according to needs and will be a maximum of 35 hours.
- Start date: Monday, August 24, 2026.
