Job Information

The General Secretariat ensures compliance with governance processes and the application of policies and regulations at the University. Among its responsibilities is the reception and processing of allegations of misconduct in responsible research conduct (RRC). In this regard, it is the place of attachment for the Person responsible for responsible research conduct at the University, a person appointed by the University Council to oversee the management of allegations, promote a culture of responsible research conduct, and serve as the main point of contact with funding agencies.

Your daily challenges

• Support and advise the Person responsible for responsible research conduct in their role and activities, including collaborating on the evaluation of the admissibility of allegations of RRC misconduct and supporting the conduct of investigations by independent expert committees;
• Conduct consultations with the University's research community regarding RRC;
• Maintain awareness and stay informed of national and international trends, practices, and policies in the fields of research ethics, scientific integrity, and responsible research conduct;
• Participate in the development of training and raise awareness among the scientific community at UdeM about the issues related to scientific integrity and the development of a culture of RRC.

What you need to succeed in this role

• Hold a master's degree in a relevant field of research;
• A degree in law or ethics is an asset;
• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, including at least two (2) years of experience in research;
• Demonstrate knowledge of laws, regulations, and norms applicable to the research domain, an asset;
• Excellent mastery of French, both orally and in writing.
