We are looking for a Senior Investor Relations Manager to join our North American team. The Investor Relations service plays a crucial role in supporting Lightspeed's engagement with the investor community, developing and maintaining financial models, coordinating with analysts, and effectively communicating the company's business strategy and financial objectives. This position involves close collaboration with the executive team, institutional investors, and sell-side analysts, while working closely with Lightspeed's FP&A, financial reporting, and legal teams. The main responsibilities include managing the investor relations website, preparing presentations for events such as conferences, quarterly reports, webcasts, and podcasts, as well as updating the consensus estimates model.

What you will do

  • Collaborate with financial analysts to maintain consensus estimates and present Lightspeed's economic model and financial objectives; take charge of the results publication process, be responsible for the investor relations press release, results statement, annual report, and quarterly projects
  • Collaborate with the executive team and serve as the liaison with institutional investors
  • Track and compare Lightspeed's key performance indicators with those of comparable publicly traded companies each quarter to evaluate Lightspeed's performance against these companies
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (FP&A) to respond to requests and develop appropriate documentation based on the company's needs
  • Manage and develop Excel models for Lightspeed and comparable and competitive companies (Shopify, Toast, Square); be able to exert a great deal of influence on decision-making at the highest level by preparing presentations for the executive team and formulating strategic recommendations based on market comparables
  • Negotiate contracts on behalf of Lightspeed and serve as the main point of contact for our investor relations partners
  • Manage and update Lightspeed's investor relations website
  • Participate in organizing events such as podcasts, webcasts, and conferences to communicate Lightspeed's strategy and outlook to the investor community
  • Collect and analyze reports from approximately 20 analysts covering the company to provide post-results updates on key metrics, price targets, ratings, and model changes

What you must bring

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, or finance
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position
  • Professional designations, or in the process of obtaining the CFA and/or CPA
  • Ability to develop and update complex financial models, reports, and presentations
  • In-depth knowledge of the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement, as well as forecasts for Lightspeed and its main competitors
  • Proficiency in financial software (FactSet, Excel add-ins) and ability to quickly communicate financial database information to stakeholders
  • Knowledge of stock evaluation indicators, including EV/EBITDA, EV/revenue, EV/gross margin, and DCF
  • Strong writing and financial communication skills
  • As a global company with employees and customers outside of Quebec, proficiency in English as a working language is required for this position
