What Your Typical Day Might Look Like
As a Senior Advisor, you will work collaboratively with a diverse team including accountants, business valuators, economists, lawyers, and data specialists. You will participate in client meetings, collaborate on developing an appropriate methodology for quantification or investigation, develop financial models, perform financial analyses, and participate in missions for a wide range of clients and sectors. You will also contribute to project planning and the production of high-quality expert reports.
This opportunity will allow you to develop your expertise in forensic accounting and investigation while building your reputation as a business advisor and contributing to the growth and development of the practice.
As a Senior Advisor, you will be required to:
- Participate in damage quantification, commercial disputes, and financial investigations, including business valuation missions in a litigation context;
- Perform financial and quantitative analyses, develop financial models, and analyze data to support the conclusions of our reports and deliverables;
- Contribute to the development of damage quantification methodologies and investigation approaches tailored to the circumstances of each case;
- Participate in the preparation of expert reports, financial analyses, and other deliverables for clients and legal advisors;
- Utilize data analysis tools, artificial intelligence, and financial modeling to enhance the efficiency and quality of the analyses performed.
About the Team
Deloitte's forensic accounting professionals intervene in a wide range of commercial disputes and financial irregularities. They provide rigorous, clear, and well-supported analyses, opinions, and reports. We implement a variety of quantitative and qualitative methods to identify, isolate, and analyze alleged damages resulting from business interruptions, suspected fraud or corruption, contract breaches, negligence, rights violations, or intellectual property violations. We quantify real or potential losses, conduct investigations into fraud allegations, trace embezzled funds, and act as independent experts in commercial disputes and financial litigation.
Our Investigations and Disputes team consists of specialists in forensic accounting, business valuation, financial analysis, and computer forensic accounting.
Enough About Us, Let's Talk About You
You have the following profile:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field;
- CPA designation and at least 2 years of experience in audit, consulting, or a related field;
- Professional designation in business valuation (PBE) in the process of obtaining or a strong interest in pursuing the program leading to this designation;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail;
- Excellent communication and writing skills in both French and English;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment where deadlines are often tight;
- Interest and active and professional use of artificial intelligence tools and Microsoft Copilot in a financial analysis and consulting context;
- Strong work ethic, professionalism, and commitment to excellence and the quality of the work delivered;
- Intellectual curiosity, a desire for continuous learning, and a strong interest in forensic accounting;
- Interest in contributing to the growth of the practice and the establishment of professional relationships;
- Experience in forensic accounting or professional designations such as Certified Financial Forensic Professional (CFF), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), or Certified Financial Crime Specialist (CFCS) are assets.
- Total Compensation
The salary range for this position is $72,000 to $108,000. Some individuals may be eligible for our bonus program. Salary-wise, Deloitte focuses on equity and competitiveness. We regularly compare our data to market benchmark data for various positions, sectors, targets, and levels.
