  • Work under the supervision of the Director, Contracts and Legal Services, Aftermarket Customer Experience of Bombardier
  • Assist in and/or lead the negotiation, drafting, or reviewing of various commercial contracts related to the support of aeronautical aftermarket activities, including but not limited to:
  • + Customer support service contracts
  • + Authorized service installation contracts
  • + Service and support contracts for government/defense aircraft
  • + Service and support contracts for aircraft fleets
  • + Aftermarket supply contracts
  • Manage claims and potentially litigious cases, in collaboration with the Legal Disputes team
  • Play a key role in proactive risk management through training and mentoring, as well as by creating and implementing effective contract governance processes
  • Be regularly sought out by your clients to provide legal advice, ensure contract compliance, and interpret various contractual provisions. Your recommendations will have a direct impact on our daily relationships with our clients and service providers
  • Be a reference for your ability to identify and anticipate commercial and contractual issues, ensuring effective communication between your clients and the Legal, Taxation, Risk Management, Export Control, and/or Compliance groups
  • Anticipate the needs of stakeholders and proactively develop solutions to address them
  • Be the primary resource for the company for complex and critical questions

In this role, you may be called upon to travel occasionally.

How will you thrive in this role?

  • You are a practicing member of the Bar of at least one Canadian province or U.S. state, preferably Quebec. You preferably have a degree in civil law and common law
  • You have at least 8 years of experience in commercial law or commercial disputes
  • You demonstrate strong leadership, are self-sufficient, and have excellent business and legal judgment, giving you the confidence to make quick decisions and provide strategic advice in a stressful environment
  • You preferably have experience in competition law
  • You are not afraid to work in an environment where technical questions are at the center of discussions
  • You can easily manage a busy schedule
  • You possess strong negotiation, drafting, and communication skills
  • You have good business judgment, combined with excellent business sense, to provide effective, value-added advice and solutions
  • You have strong organizational skills
  • You are able to work and achieve results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • You are perfectly bilingual (French and English), both orally and in writing.
