The Avionics office in Marie-Curie, Montreal is Thales Group's Centre of Competence for business and regional jet flight control systems is located at our Montreal - Marie Curie office. The team designs and integrates avionics suites, fly-by-wire flight control systems, SATCOM systems and other innovative concepts for the regional and business aircraft markets.

Intern in Tool Development & Tooling Process *Intern - Fixed Term* *Montreal, QC (On-Site)*

In collaboration with a test means engineer and a development tools manager, the intern will participate in the development and integration of test tooling (scripting, database, etc.) and test means (real and virtual) within the verification process of systems, as part of a research project aimed at defining tomorrow's IVVQ tooling process.

Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities

To successfully complete the project, the intern will: Develop tools and scripts;

  • Automate manual processes, consolidate data
  • Integrate existing tools with test means;
  • Develop code and/or tests for script-based test bench addressing, integrate between the test development environment and the virtual bench, etc.

Minimum Requirements

  • University student in first year of Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Bilingual French-English.

*This position requires good knowledge of English for the writing of technical documents, to interact, support, and/or provide services to international clients, employees, and/or partners as well as to foreign government authorities who do not speak French.*

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Python programming language.
  • Knowledge of programming under Matlab/Simulink.
  • Knowledge of C/C++ programming language.
  • Knowledge of multicore programming.
