Responsibilities
- Lead teams serving clients in complex tax compliance mandates; ensure the establishment of budgets, internal controls, and financial and accounting operations.
- Provide sectorial and technical expertise in certification through client exchanges, reports, technical work, presentations to management, and the production of high-quality deliverables.
- Manage a range of clients by understanding their activities, key risks, and ways to add value; ensure client needs are met, relationships are built, and accounts grow.
- Take charge of mission planning and organization, as well as the financial parameters of projects (budgets, work in progress, billing, collection, and accounting of discrepancies).
- Ensure quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify, and resolve business and financial statement and report issues for the client.
- Network and prospect in the local business community; contribute to the preparation and submission of competitive service proposals that meet client needs.
- Participate in strategic and operational planning for the client and firm, as well as the development of new ideas and methods to improve work procedures.
- Provide mentorship to team members, motivate and guide them to excel and thrive through clear goals, regular feedback, and annual performance evaluations.
- Be willing to travel, if necessary.
Skills and Experience
- CPA designation
- 7 years of relevant public accounting experience
- Deep understanding of business, accounting, management, and prospecting principles
- Recognized leadership and proven abilities in personnel management and interpersonal relations
- Strong strategic planning and conceptual reasoning skills
