We are looking for a Specialist, Modern Terminal Management, to join one of our offices.
The person holding the position is responsible for the design, implementation, management, and support of terminal management solutions using Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM), Microsoft Intune, and Windows Autopilot. They ensure that devices are managed securely, efficiently, and in compliance throughout their lifecycle across the firm.
The person holding the position has solid experience in terminal lifecycle management, operating system deployment, application packaging and deployment, device provisioning, terminal security, compliance policy management, and Microsoft 365 terminal administration. They work closely with infrastructure, security, and technical support teams to implement modern solutions, enhance the user experience, and maintain a secure and reliable terminal environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Design, implement, administer, and maintain the firm's terminal management solutions using Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM), Microsoft Intune, and Windows Autopilot to ensure secure and efficient device management.
- Manage the complete lifecycle of terminals, including provisioning, Windows Autopilot deployments, operating system deployment, configuration, maintenance, updates, and end-of-life of devices.
- Package, deploy, update, and administer enterprise applications, including Win32, MSI, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Store, and specialized applications, ensuring efficient software distribution and lifecycle management.
- Administer Windows Update for Business (WUfB), software updates, BitLocker, Microsoft Defender, security baselines, and terminal protection policies to ensure the security of the IT environment.
- Implement and manage device compliance policies, conditional access, device enrollment to Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and co-management of SCCM/MECM and Microsoft Intune.
- Design PowerShell scripts to automate terminal administration, track their status and compliance, generate reports, and optimize management processes.
- Provide advanced technical support by diagnosing and resolving complex issues related to device enrollment, Windows Autopilot, operating system deployment, application installation, policy deployment, and terminal performance.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, networking, identity management, and technical support teams to implement modern terminal management solutions, cloud migration projects, and other enterprise technology solutions.
- Write and update technical documentation, deployment procedures, standardized operating procedures, and knowledge base articles, ensuring compliance with firm standards and best practices.
- Evaluate new Microsoft technologies related to terminal management, recommend process improvements, and ensure compliance of terminal management activities with firm security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
What You Bring to Miller Thomson
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration with a specialization in information technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in terminal management, including experience with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM), Windows Autopilot, and Microsoft 365 terminal administration. Experience working in an enterprise IT environment.
- Experience providing enterprise application support in a law firm or professional services environment is an asset.
- Proven experience in Windows 11 administration, operating system deployment, application packaging and deployment, PowerShell script development, device compliance management, terminal security, patch management, terminal co-management, and experience with Microsoft AVD and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Knowledge of fundamental networking principles and infrastructure security practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

- Compensation:
We offer one of the best compensation programs in the market, with an annual salary ranging from $88,397 to $108,041.
The final salary will be determined based on the employee's workplace location and may vary according to their qualifications, skills, and market trends, while respecting internal and external salary equity standards.
