Purpose of the Role

Under the leadership of the Manufacturing Operations Director, the Logistics & Customs Compliance Specialist plays a key role in managing Robotiq's international shipments. As the point of contact between internal teams, clients, and logistics partners, they ensure every order is shipped efficiently, in compliance with the customs and regulatory requirements of different markets.

Through their diligence, organizational skills, and understanding of international shipping processes, they directly contribute to providing a reliable and professional customer experience. The specialist also acts as a resource person for the Customer Success and Sales teams on all shipping, documentation, and compliance-related matters.

Your Day-to-Day with Us Will Look Like

  • Ensure the preparation, compliance, and tracking of international shipments.
  • Prepare, validate, and optimize shipping and customs documents.
  • Coordinate activities with the shipping team, carriers, brokers, customs agents, and 3PL partners.
  • Select appropriate transportation modes based on deadlines, costs, and destinations.
  • Track shipped orders and communicate updates to internal teams and clients.
  • Address issues related to deliveries, delays, damages, or customs hold-ups.
  • Act as a resource person on customs compliance and international regulations.
  • Maintain accurate tracking data in internal systems.
  • Train and support teams on best practices for shipping and compliance.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Monitor regulatory changes in customs, export, and international trade.
  • Participate in expansion projects into new markets, including setting up shipping routes and logistics partners.

Desired Profile

  • DEC or bachelor's degree in logistics, international trade operations management, or related field
  • Years of experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in international logistics
