Overview
You hold a degree in mechanical engineering and wish to start your career within an engineering consulting firm? The industrial department of AtkinsRéalis in Quebec is looking for a Mechanical and Industrial Piping Engineer (CPI) to join a dynamic team and contribute to major projects in the mining, water treatment, oil and gas, and chemical products sectors.
You will participate in the realization of varied mandates while developing your technical expertise within a multidisciplinary environment that fosters learning and professional development.
Your Role
- Participate in the design of industrial mechanical systems and piping networks.
- Prepare design calculations in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and requirements.
- Participate in the production of plans, estimates, and technical details.
- Contribute to the development of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID).
- Participate in the preparation of technical proposals for pre-purchase and construction phases.
- Perform technical analysis of bids and formulate recommendations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in the development and implementation of projects.
- Participate in site surveys and site visits when required.
- Provide technical support to senior engineers and project managers.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent;
- Registered (or eligible to be registered) as a CPI with the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ);
- Strong interest in industrial mechanics, industrial processes, and piping systems;
- Knowledge of one or more of the following software is an asset: AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, SolidWorks, or PIPE-FLO;
- Skills in design, analysis, and problem-solving, as well as the ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
