The Mission Old Brewery is looking for A SITE SUPERVISOR – CAFÉ MISSION
You are a pillar for those who are on the front lines. As a supervisor, you lead an engaged team while fostering a climate of trust, listening, and action.
You supervise teams that, every day, contribute to providing a welcoming, safe, and dignified space to people in vulnerable situations. On the ground and in support of operations, you guide, accompany, and mobilize those who create an environment conducive to intervention, listening, and empowerment. Thanks to your relational ease, you intervene with a vulnerable and diverse clientele facing issues of dependence, drug addiction, mental health, or precarity, always in a respectful, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach. The Mission Old Brewery is looking for Site Supervisors for its Café Mission service. In collaboration with the site coordinator, you participate in the operational and administrative management of the services and their programming. You ensure the provision of a harmonious, safe, and respectful living environment while directly supervising the intervention teams and the quality of the services offered.
WORKING HOURS
Men's and Mixed Services
- Monday to Thursday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM (32 hours/week)
- Friday to Sunday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM (24 hours/week)
WORK CONDITIONS OFFERED

RESPONSIBILITIES
- *Employee Management*
- Animate clinical team meetings, provide training and support to intervention and coordination teams, and coach teams in case of complex client crises;
- Ensure the welcome, integration, training, and supervision of team members under your supervision, including task planning and daily task support;
- Ensure compliance with HR/convention collective processes and policies, ensuring the safety of staff to guarantee the respect of operational regulations and health and safety standards, and applying corrective measures when necessary;
- Enter payroll data, participate in funding activities, evaluate employees according to the existing evaluation process, and promote teamwork.
- *Support and Supervision*
- Deploy and supervise work procedures, processes, and policies to ensure uniform and quality intervention and clinical activities;
- Ensure data collection and follow-ups allowing the evaluation and supervision of the clinical services offered;
- Apply the complaint process implemented by OBM for employees and users, and ensure that decisions regarding the safety of residents and beneficiaries are in line with the values of the Mission Old Brewery;
- Submit maintenance requests and follow-up instructions, support and assist in the deployment of renovation and maintenance projects (when necessary);
- Manage the inventory stock of products under your responsibility;
- Communicate the quality of food services, hygiene, and cleanliness and transmit your observations to the site coordinator.
- *Development, Representation, and Communication*
- Plan, participate in, and/or animate all meetings or communication activities for the staff deemed necessary for the proper functioning of operations;
- Transmit the necessary information to support and intervention teams;
- Ensure the writing and submission of requested reports within the prescribed deadlines;
- Support and actively participate in philanthropy activities, and act as a resource person for media requests in collaboration with the communications department;
- Any other related task.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- College diploma or equivalent;
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in intervention;
- Clinical knowledge of issues related to homelessness and its prevention;
- Knowledge of resources available for the clientele;
- Functional spoken English (an asset) due to interactions with our clientele;
- Proficiency in Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams);
- Sense of organization and priorities: ability to recognize and manage emergencies and meet deadlines;
- Understanding of the vision and realities related to the services of the Mission Old Brewery;
- Understanding of HR mechanisms;
- Interpersonal communication skills;
- Autonomy, good judgment, diligence, and leadership focused on solutions and the harmonious management of a multidisciplinary team;
- Sharing the values of the Mission Old Brewery.
