General Function

Within the operations department, support the deputy manager in all activities inherent to the management of a store and the direction of socioprofessional services in the realization of the reintegration mandate on the labor market, of people facing obstacles in finding employment.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Under the supervision and support of the deputy manager, the store sales assistant will:

Leadership and Staff Development

  • Maintain a workplace based on respect and the values of Renaissance as well as the guiding principles;
  • Promote the organizational culture and make it live on a daily basis;
  • Participate in the planning of staffing needs and coordinate recruitment, selection, and training;
  • Ensure the integration, training, and management of all personnel under their responsibility;
  • Supervise and accompany participants in our socioprofessional insertion program in their learning process and in the execution of their tasks;
  • In collaboration with the deputy manager, identify the successor by ensuring adequate training according to the development plan;
  • Regularly hold team meetings to share production results;
  • Apply all loss prevention policies and procedures within their department.

Store Performance & Customer Service

  • Actively participate in store performance and the achievement of set key performance indicators;
  • Ensure proper management of donations including the optimization of sorting activities (receiving, sorting, evaluation, respect of standards and processes at all stages);
  • Work jointly with the production manager assistant to meet the store's needs according to the organizational standards in place (quantity, quality, variety, market placement);
  • Conduct inventory and administrative follow-ups (count of received donors, management of equipment needs);
  • Ensure that the team in the store applies all the organization's policies and procedures;
  • Ensure that emergency and safety measures are well understood and followed by all personnel;
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of internal measures and controls to safeguard the company's assets;
  • Promote loss prevention awareness and ensure the respect of policies;
  • Maintain an optimal level of customer and donor service;
  • Implement promotions and sales programs for our privileged clients;
  • Be directly responsible for the health and safety of employees in their department: must ensure that all team members work in a safe and compliant environment;
  • Must immediately report any incident and take corrective measures necessary to protect employees in their department;
  • Promote awareness of loss prevention and ensure the respect of policies.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • College studies certificate or Professional Studies Diploma in a relevant field;
  • 2 years of relevant experience;
  • Skills for personnel management;
  • Good knowledge of Word and Excel software;
  • Ability to strongly support the insertion mission and the organizational culture of Renaissance;
  • Very good teamwork and communication skills;
  • Open-mindedness, tolerance, acceptance, and respect for others;
  • Adaptability, good organizational sense, and honesty;
  • Ability to analyze and implement action plans to achieve objectives;
