We are currently looking for a Department Manager for our Chico La Sarre store.

We are looking for a full-time candidate available with a flexible schedule including day, evening, and weekend shifts as needed by the store.
Your impact at Chico
As a Department Manager, you will be the engine of your team and your store. You will manage all operations, performance, and employee development while creating a motivating and high-performing work environment.
Your role will be to bring the Chico experience to life every day, both to customers and team members, ensuring the achievement of sales goals, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
Leadership and team development
- Recruit, integrate, train, and develop team members.
- Support employees through coaching, feedback, and recognition.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and motivating work environment.

Customer service
- Provide an exceptional customer experience with every visit.
- Act as an ambassador for Chico's culture and values.
- Support your team in providing high-quality advisory service.
- Build lasting relationships with customers.
Sales and performance management
- Achieve and exceed sales, profitability, and productivity goals.
- Analyze results and performance indicators.
- Identify improvement opportunities and implement action plans.
- Motivate your team to achieve goals.
Operations management
- Plan, organize, and coordinate daily store activities.
- Ensure compliance with Chico's policies, procedures, and standards.
- Supervise cashier and administrative operations.
- Ensure the smooth operation of all activities.
Scheduling and workforce management
- Prepare schedules based on business needs.
- Ensure optimal coverage of operations.
- Manage priorities, absences, and replacement needs.
- Optimize the use of available resources.
Inventory and merchandising
- Ensure effective inventory and order management.
- Supervise merchandise receipt and restocking.
- Maintain visual presentation and merchandising standards.
- Ensure the cleanliness, organization, and general upkeep of the store.
Collaboration and communication
- Collaborate closely with your Franchisee and Territory Manager.
- Participate in company initiatives and projects.
- Foster open and effective communication with your team.
- Contribute to the overall success of the organization by sharing best practices.

What you need
✔ Minimum of 2 years of experience in management in a retail sales environment.
✔ Experience in team management and talent development.
✔ Experience in sales and customer service.
✔ Good knowledge of retail operations.
✔ Experience in the animal industry is an asset.
✔ A college diploma in business management is an asset.
✔ Excellent communication, coaching, and performance management skills.
✔ Proficiency in French, both written and spoken.
✔ Knowledge of English is an asset.
✔ Availability for evening and weekend shifts specifically
