Reporting to the Chief Director of Technology, the person in this position acts as the first point of contact for users requiring technical assistance.

They are responsible for providing effective and professional first-level IT support, diagnosing and resolving common incidents, configuring computer equipment, and guiding users in the use of corporate tools.

Through their service-oriented approach, their ability to communicate technical concepts, and their desire to learn, they actively contribute to providing a simple and effective technological experience to the entire organization.

More specifically, the successful candidate will:

  • Provide first-level technical support to users who are on-site or remote, primarily from our offices;
  • Receive service requests, respond to those under their responsibility, escalate more complex requests to designated resources, and ensure their follow-up until resolution;
  • Diagnose, document, and resolve incidents related to workstations, applications, and computer equipment;
  • Install, configure, and maintain computers, peripherals, and technological equipment;
  • Provide support for Microsoft 365 and other corporate solutions;
  • Participate in user account and access management;
  • Contribute to the technological onboarding of new employees and tasks related to employee moves and departures;
  • Keep technical documentation and support procedures up-to-date;
  • Communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience;
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of IT support processes;
  • Collaborate with IT team members on various initiatives and projects;
  • Participate in the management and renewal of the computer park;
  • Perform any other related tasks to ensure a quality user experience.

The person we are looking for

  • Holds a DEP in computer support, a DEC in computer science, or any equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Has at least one year of experience in computer support or user support; experience in a small business or Microsoft 365 environment is an asset;
  • Is proficient in Windows and Microsoft 365 environments (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and productivity applications);
  • Has basic knowledge in workstation management, networking, and computer security;
  • Demonstrates a strong interest in user support and customer service excellence;
  • Accompanies users with professionalism and communicates technical concepts in a simple and adapted manner;
  • Shows rigor, autonomy, curiosity, and a good sense of organization;
  • Effectively analyzes problems and contributes to their resolution;
  • Collaborates easily within a team and manages multiple requests simultaneously;
  • Is fluent in French, both orally and in writing; knowledge of English is an asset (to communicate with external suppliers who may speak these languages);
  • Ensures a presence in the office five (5) days a week.
