In a context of strong growth, we are currently recruiting for several project management positions. As a Project Manager within the Civil & Infrastructure division of Pomerleau, you will play a strategic role in the planning, execution, and delivery of major projects. You will be responsible for the overall performance of projects, including costs, schedules, quality, and compliance.
You will work on a variety of projects — ranging from several million to over a billion dollars — in specialties such as earthworks, civil engineering, maritime, deep foundations, and formwork.
Depending on your level of experience, you may also take on a leadership role by steering complex projects, mobilizing teams, and contributing to strategic directions.
What You Will Do
- Plan, organize, and oversee all project activities
- Ensure complete project management (scope, costs, schedules, quality, and risks)
- Develop, track, and optimize budgets, forecasts, and performance indicators
- Coordinate project teams (coordinators, engineers, superintendents, etc.)
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, consultants, and subcontractors
- Participate in tendering strategies, contract negotiations, and project setup
- Identify risks and opportunities and propose optimization strategies
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards on-site
- Ensure compliance of work with contractual and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of practices and processes
- This position is for you if you have:
- A minimum of 7 to 15+ years of experience in project management within the construction sector.
- Significant experience in civil engineering (earthworks, civil engineering, maritime, deep foundations, formwork, or equivalent)
- Education in engineering, construction management, or any equivalent combination
- Strong ability to manage large and complex projects
- Excellent financial management and performance tracking skills
- Motivational leadership and influence capabilities
- Strong client and results orientation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Additional Asset
- Mobility to work on projects across the province and outside Quebec.
