Reporting to the Reception Supervisors, the Front Desk Agent takes room reservations, welcomes guests upon arrival and during their stay, provides information about the establishment and its services as well as about the tourist attractions and receives payments from guests.
- Welcome guests and provide courteous, professional, and personalized customer service.
- Make reservations by phone and online.
- Process guest check-ins and check-outs.
- Inform the clientele about the services offered by the establishment and respond to their requests.
- Provide information about the tourist attractions, activities, and services in the Montreal area.
- Ensure the accuracy of transactions and guest files in the computer system.
- Collect payments and perform cash operations according to established procedures.
- Collaborate with different departments to ensure an optimal guest experience.
- Train and support new team members, as needed.
- Participate in various related tasks and support reception operations as needed.
Skills
- DEP in hotel reception or at least one year of relevant experience in a hotel reception.
- Proficiency in computer tools; knowledge of OPERA Cloud is an asset.
- Excellent mastery of French and English, both spoken and written.
- Excellent communication skills and strong sense of customer service.
- Good knowledge of the tourist attractions in Montreal.
- Professional and neat appearance.
- Meticulousness, discretion, reliability, and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic environment while providing high-quality customer service.
- Team spirit, autonomy, and ability to adapt to a constantly evolving environment.
Language: Bilingualism (French-English) is required for this position, as we serve an international clientele.
