We are looking for a Shop Technician to join our Service team in Saint-Augustin.
SUMMARY
As a member of the service team, the technician must be a highly motivated team player who completes required tasks professionally and on time. The hired mechanic must work in a safe, efficient, clean, organized, and professional work environment at all times to ensure that Nors exceeds its customers' expectations.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Emphasis is placed on the development and implementation of a "customer service, customer-focused" philosophy within the department and at the Branch site;
Emphasis is placed on increasing revenue, improving operational efficiency, and overall customer satisfaction through the completion of service work within the allotted time;
Responsible for all aspects of assigned service orders, including but not limited to: Proactive troubleshooting to correctly identify machine malfunctions;
Quick and accurate diagnosis and repair, including computer connection/diagnosis with the machine to identify fault codes;
Effective communication with the supplier (Volvo) regarding Tech Line and/or direct calls to facilitate accurate diagnosis;
Precise ordering of required parts and tracking to ensure parts are received to perform the assigned service work;
Submission of accurate and timely service reports (including time cards);
Maintenance and upkeep of the service area and assigned tools;
Effective, open, and frequent communication with the supervisor;
Competence in the use of heavy equipment to test repairs once completed;
Responsible for returning unused parts at the end of maintenance work;
You are responsible for ensuring that all customer or supervisor service requests are managed professionally and promptly at all times; BASIC SKILLS: Exceptional customer service skills;
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills;
Excellent computer skills (email, dealer website, Prosis, Tech. Line);
Time management skills;Mastery of manual tools, computer tools, torches, welding equipment, pneumatic tools, etc.;
Willingness to participate and complete required training initiatives;
Must have a clean driver's license;
You must provide your own tools;
Must be able to safely and competently operate heavy equipment;
Must be able to work independently and with other team members;
Must be able to work outdoors and on-site when necessary;
Licenses 421A and 310T are an asset.
EDUCATION/TRAINING: Post-secondary diploma and/or relevant professional experience.
