Company Description

Vidéotron, one of the leading telecommunications companies in Canada, maintains a unique and privileged relationship with the population and is highly regarded by its clients, being the most admired telecommunications company among Quebecers.

Working at Vidéotron means joining a company at the forefront of technology with constant growth. It also means joining experienced, multidisciplinary teams ready to share their knowledge.

As the Principal Business Partner for Site Acquisition, you will assist your Manager in their mandate within the team. You ensure that everyone is working in the same direction, with a focus on profitability, quality, and efficiency. You are also responsible for leasing spaces for the implementation or maintenance of telecommunications sites necessary for the company's various telephone networks, while complying with the applicable regulations. Additionally, you will be called upon to negotiate and sign agreements with various property owners to upgrade your telecommunications network.

More specifically, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the completion of assigned mandates within established deadlines, available resources, and allocated budget;
  • Identifying, in collaboration with various managers, the location of future telecommunications sites, taking into account geographical, technical, financial, and municipal and government regulatory constraints;
  • Coordinating meetings with stakeholders involved in site construction to ensure that the conditions included in signed contracts are met during implementation;
  • Negotiating the terms and conditions of purchases and/or leases with property owners and managers, and ensuring that the negotiated terms and conditions reflect the policies established by the company's legal affairs service;
  • Conducting outreach and negotiations with property owners and managers of sites to strengthen the company's presence in technical sites, all while focusing on financial profitability and meeting operational requirements (strict adherence to the company's site implementation standards in site selection);
  • Participating in the development of network deployment strategies and developing alternatives in compliance with the company's deadlines and financial parameters;
  • Monitoring and analyzing performance indicators, proposing corrective measures, and taking the necessary actions to address operational discrepancies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Administration, Law, or Urban Planning;
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in the telecommunications or related field;
  • Possession of a valid driver's license;
  • Excellent customer service, negotiation, and communication skills;
  • Strong sense of initiative, dynamism, and leadership;
  • Bilingualism (French and English), both orally and in writing, as the employee will frequently communicate with external anglophone partners and colleagues, as well as with anglophone employees located outside Quebec;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite in a Windows environment.
