We are currently looking for a technical project coordinator who is passionate about technology and wants to play a key role in the success of our projects.

Your Role

The technical project coordinator works closely with project managers to ensure the technical, documentary, and operational coordination of projects.

They accompany projects from their opening to their closure and actively contribute to their success.

Project Opening

The coordinator participates in:

  • Analyzing plans and estimates;
  • Identifying the project's technical requirements;
  • Identifying workshop drawings and technical sheets to be produced;
  • Preparing tracking registers (workshop drawings, QRT, DDC, etc.);
  • Documenting projects on Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC);
  • Administrative project opening and preparation of contractual documentation;
  • Preparation of CNESST documents;
  • Participation in the development of prevention programs;
  • Participation in the process of issuing purchase orders and contracts;
  • Initial coordination with suppliers, professionals, and subcontractors.
  • Project Execution
  • The coordinator participates in:
  • Technical Coordination
  • Preparation, tracking, and transmission of workshop drawings;
  • Preparation and tracking of technical sheets;
  • Analysis of technical requirements of estimates;
  • Identification of specified products;
  • Research and preparation of equivalent product proposals as needed;
  • Technical exchanges with professionals, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Technical Support for Purchasing
  • Participate in the research, analysis, selection, and procurement of products required for projects;
  • Obtain and compare prices from suppliers and manufacturers;
  • Verify manufacturing and delivery deadlines;
  • Collaborate with project managers in procurement decisions.
  • Project Tracking
  • Ensure tracking of workshop drawings;
  • Ensure tracking of technical questions and answers (QRT);
  • Ensure tracking of change requests (DDC);
  • Ensure tracking of procurement;
  • Ensure tracking of material orders;
  • Ensure tracking of payment requests;
  • Coordinate deliveries on job sites;
  • Coordinate rented equipment;
  • Support project managers in managing health and safety on job sites;
  • Keep documentation management up to date on Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC);
  • Participate in updating the company's workshop drawing library and technical references.
  • Project Closure
  • The coordinator participates in:
  • Collection and validation of end-of-project documentation;
  • Tracking of as-built plans (TQC);
  • Preparation of operation and maintenance manuals (O&M), when required;
  • Compilation of warranties and certificates;
  • Obtaining CCQ and CNESST compliance letters;
  • Administrative project closure;
  • Archiving technical documentation.

Education and Experience

  • Education in architecture, civil engineering, building mechanics, estimating, or any other relevant discipline related to the construction field;
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar position in project coordination or administration in construction;
  • Experience in the institutional, industrial, or public infrastructure sectors is an asset;
  • Experience in the electrical field is also an asset;
  • Good ability to read, analyze, and interpret plans, estimates, and technical documents.
  • Computer Skills
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft 365 environment (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, and SharePoint);
  • Good proficiency in tools for creating, modifying, annotating, merging, and organizing PDF documents;
  • Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or a similar platform (SmartUse, Bluebeam, or Procore) is an asset;
  • Great comfort with computer tools and new technologies;
  • Strong interest in using artificial intelligence to improve work processes.
  • Languages
  • Excellent proficiency in French, both spoken and written;
  • Ability to communicate in English, both spoken and written, to interact with certain suppliers and consult technical documentation.
