Description

FortisIA, a technological platform developed by Uzinakod, has been designed to support organizations with a strong social impact in structuring, modernizing, and sustaining their activities. More than just an application, it is a complete technological solution that helps organizations improve their governance, optimize their practices, foster member engagement, and facilitate information flow.

As FortisIA begins its commercial deployment, we are looking for a person who wishes to contribute concretely to this growth.

Does this interest you? We have just an opening for a Business Development Advisor position.

Your daily impact:

You will be the first person with whom syndical organizations will come into contact. Every interaction you initiate will contribute to making known a solution that addresses real challenges for the organizations we support.

Your role is to create the first connections, generate interest, and open the door to quality conversations. By developing a strong pipeline of opportunities, you will play a key role in the growth of FortisIA and in our ability to support more organizations with a strong social impact.

You will not be responsible for closing sales: your value lies in your ability to create opportunities, build trust, and provide the momentum needed for the sales team to turn these opportunities into lasting partnerships.

You are our ideal colleague because…

You recognize yourself in these main missions

  • You target and approach local sections across Canada (STTP, SCFP, Métallos, IUOE, ATU, SMART, TUAC, MoveUP, and many others)
  • You prospect through multiple channels: email, phone, LinkedIn
  • You go out on the field: conferences, assemblies, colloquia, and syndical events, where the best relationships are often forged, you will not stay behind your screen all week! (Prepare for occasional travel elsewhere in Canada.)
  • You chat with prospects to understand their needs before handing over a demo
  • You keep your HubSpot clean and up-to-date (we promise it's more satisfying than we think!)
  • You work closely with the team to refine our collective approach and with the Sales and Customer Success Manager on current priorities
  • You know FortisIA inside out, enough to give clear and relevant demos, tailored to each client
  • You bring back from the field the needs, objections, and comments: all of this is gold for continuing to improve our product

You possess these skills

  • Excellent autonomy, resourcefulness, and resilience
  • Strong ability to do cold outreach (email, LinkedIn, or phone)
  • Recognized for excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to create a trusting atmosphere
  • Collaborative spirit and ability to work closely with the team
  • Organized, rigorous, and capable of managing multiple requests simultaneously

… and you check the following criteria

  • Hold a DEC, college diploma, or equivalent experience in administration, marketing, communications, social sciences, or any related field
  • Have 1 to 2 years of B2B sales experience
  • Master both French and English, both spoken and written (our market is pan-Canadian, it's our only true "must")
  • Be comfortable with CRMs and prospecting tools

Assets

  • Sensitivity to the syndical, community, or associative world: understanding the reality of those who advocate, finding the right tone, is what turns an ignored email into a real discussion
  • A genuine curiosity for people and their needs
  • Enjoyment of human contact and networking: going to chat with people at a conference or event hall, for example

In addition, you benefit from

  • A human, demanding, and results-oriented environment
  • 5 weeks of vacation upon hiring
  • 37.5-hour workweek with flexible hours
  • Overtime, very rare, is paid (and yes, we are like that)
  • A fair, market-based fixed salary with commissions
  • Up to 5 personal sick days to take care of yourself and your loved ones
  • RPDB (employer-sponsored collective pension plan) and the possibility of contributing to the REER of the FTQ Solidarity Fund, starting on your first day with us
  • Accessible leaders who speak your language
  • Remote work (with all the necessary communication tools to not feel far from your colleagues)
  • Remote work outside Quebec possible several weeks a year
  • Access to our two chalets located in Lanaudière for relaxation or work: La Kaban and Le Shack
  • 100% paid collective insurance and telemedicine services from your first day
  • Mobility allowance through our "Together at the Office" program and BIXI subscription
  • Allowance for your mobile phone
  • Flexible working conditions
  • And many more!

Psssttt! Our recruitment process is ultra-simple, confidential, and fast. Don't hesitate, submit your application and come chat with us!
