Want to play a strategic role at the heart of financial operations for an approximate 6-month temporary assignment?

Reporting to the Director of Finance - Commercial and FP&A for the Americas region, you act as a strategic business partner to the operations management team. You work to optimize the company's financial resources, analyze the financial performance of operations, analyze results, and ensure the optimization of processes.

More specifically, you will have the following responsibilities:

Cost Management

• Define, maintain, and control standard product costs
• Collaborate with the pricing team
• Analyze variances and identify their causes
• Maintain the cost center structure
• Perform ad hoc financial analyses

End-of-Month Process

• Analyze variances (budget vs actual vs forecasts)
• Allocate and analyze standard cost deviations during the end-of-month process
• Explain operational departmental variances at the end of the month to the Plant Director

Capex

• Prepare and present investment requests (CER)
• Develop financial analyses and business plans
• Support decision-making by managers

Business Partnership

• Advise the Plant Director on workforce needs
• Support operational teams with key financial analyses
• Participate in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Identify risks and opportunities
• Supervise cost and loss controls (Waste Management)

Inventory Management

• Analyze inventory management performance
• Participate and co-lead physical inventory count activities at the Boisbriand site
• Work closely with the inventory-focused financial analyst

Do you have what it takes?

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• Member of the CPA order
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools
• Knowledge of SAP S4Hana, SAP Cloud Analytics, Hyperion/Smartview, Floqast, and Vena (an asset)
• More than 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in an international context
• Attention to detail, rigor, and impeccable professional ethics
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Excellent communicator
• Bilingual (French and English) essential
• Experience in the manufacturing and/or food industry
