Your next challenge
For our Brossard plant, we are looking for an Electrical Designer to join our engineering team. Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Supervisor, you will participate in the design of electrical distribution systems intended to measure, control, and protect critical equipment. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, assembly, and testing teams to deliver solutions that meet our clients' requirements. This position is ideal for a person passionate about electrical design, who enjoys solving technical problems and thrives in a dynamic environment where every project brings new challenges. We welcome applications from experienced designers as well as new electrical engineering graduates looking to develop their careers in design.
Your responsibilities
- Participate in technical reviews of projects and contribute to their compliance with established requirements.
- Design and update detailed electrical schematics: single-line diagrams, control schematics, wiring schematics, and assembly drawings.
- Collaborate on detailed engineering according to client requirements, proposals, applicable standards (CSA, UL, ANSI), and internal standards.
- Prepare the required technical documentation: material lists, component lists, and bill of materials (BOM).
- Participate in the selection of electrical components necessary for equipment manufacturing.
- Contribute to project advancement while respecting established schedules.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and testing teams to address technical challenges and ensure design consistency.
- Gradually develop your technical expertise through the support of experienced colleagues and exposure to a variety of projects.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Electronics Technology, or related field, or completed Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in electrical design gained through employment, internship, cooperative program, or relevant academic projects.
- Good understanding of electrical distribution, industrial control, or power system protection principles.
- Interest in detailed electrical equipment design and technical solution development.
- Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software; knowledge of SEE Electrical Expert is an asset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a dynamic environment.
- Problem-solving skills and collaborative approach.
- Bilingualism in French and English to collaborate with teams and partners in Canada and internationally.
Assets
- Knowledge of control panels, distribution cabinets, or power equipment.
- Knowledge of applicable standards and codes (CSA, ANSI, IEEE, Hydro-Québec, etc.).
- Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec or eligible to become one.

The expected salary range is CAD 64,000 - CAD 96,000 per year. This range includes the base salary and short-term incentives.
