We are looking for a Marketing & Communications Coordinator to develop our department.
What you will do
- Assist the Corporate Marketing Director in maintaining and implementing brand governance within Smardt's global organization, ensuring the consistency of visual identity, messaging, and tone across all business units (CBUs), regions, and touchpoints.
- Contribute to the management and evolution of Smardt's communication architecture and value proposition framework, ensuring that regional teams and stakeholders in the Americas, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific have a clear and up-to-date positioning to build upon.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the company's website (developed on a custom React stack), including content updates, page creation, asset management, SEO optimization, and coordination with developers or agencies on larger initiatives.
- Manage Smardt's social media accounts, including content strategy implementation, post creation, scheduling, community engagement, and performance reporting, within the framework of global social media governance defined by the marketing service.
- Create visually appealing content (graphics, brand templates, presentations, event materials, social media content), either directly or by overseeing external creative agencies and independent partners.
- Produce or oversee the production of video content for employer branding, recruitment, corporate communication, and social media — directly engaging with projects when necessary and managing partner agencies for larger or more complex productions.
- Plan, write, and distribute internal communications, including newsletters, executive updates, and company-wide announcements, ensuring they align with the company's communication priorities.
- Participate in the planning and organization of global information sessions, including content development, presentation materials, logistical coordination, and post-event follow-up.
- Coordinate and support major events, including international trade shows, product launches, grand openings, and customer experiences, managing logistics, promotional materials, vendor coordination, and on-site implementation in partnership with regional teams. International travel is expected.
- Manage, update, and distribute brand guidelines and associated resources, serving as a reference for teams across the global organization needing support or guidance in line with the brand.
- Support HR in communication-related projects, such as onboarding materials, employee engagement campaigns, employer branding content, recruitment marketing, and corporate branding initiatives (office signage, environmental branding).
- Contribute to external communications, including press releases, public announcements, executive profiles, and stakeholder messages, as directed by the Corporate Marketing Director.
- Support ESG and sustainability communications by developing content and resources in line with the company's positioning.
- Track and report on web, email, social media, and search engine engagement metrics, providing insights that inform content decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Actively explore and integrate AI tools into marketing processes — content creation, image generation, data analysis, reporting — to enhance the speed, quality, and scalability of the marketing service's deliverables.
- Manage relationships with external agencies, freelancers, and creative partners, ensuring quality, brand consistency, and timely delivery for all projects.
- Take ownership of multiple projects simultaneously and manage deadlines autonomously, escalating issues to the Corporate Marketing Director as needed.
Experience
- 2 to 4 years of experience in a marketing, communications, or content management role within a corporate environment, preferably in a B2B or industrial setting.
- Practical experience in managing and updating websites using a CMS (WordPress, Drupal, or similar); proficiency in a modern web stack (React-based or headless CMS) is a significant asset.
- Experience in managing corporate or B2B social media accounts, including the use of content creation and planning tools.
- Experience in managing external agencies or independent creatives.
- Experience in the CVC, manufacturing industry, or B2B industrial sectors.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or a related field
Technical Skills
- Strong graphic design skills and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) or equivalent tools (Canva Pro, Figma).
- Ability to edit videos using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut, or similar, and/or experience in managing video production through partner agencies.
- Practical knowledge of SEO principles, including on-page optimization, keyword research, metadata, and analytics tools (Google Search Console, GA4, or equivalents).
- Strong attention to detail, layout, and visual consistency.
- Proficiency in email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, HubSpot, or equivalents) for creating and distributing newsletters.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision and rigorous tracking.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in employer branding or recruitment-related marketing content.
- Experience in developing brand guidelines or rebranding projects.
- Photography skills or comfort directing photo shoots or video productions.
- Experience in event management, including trade shows or corporate events.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS or comfort using a React codebase for minor content modifications.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Candidate Profile
- Flexibility to work occasionally outside of regular working hours to facilitate coordination with teams in different time zones across the world (Europe, Asia-Pacific).
- Comfort working with different departments (HR, executive, international teams) and adapting tone and content to different audiences and cultures.
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, etc.) to optimize marketing processes, with a willingness to experiment and bring new ideas.
- Availability to travel internationally if necessary to attend trade shows, events, and inter-regional coordination activities.
