MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
CLIENT
- Manage the client to ensure long-term profitability, understand their needs, and offer products and services that meet their needs.
- Provide quality investment advice for the entire range of products (registered products, unregistered products, stocks, fixed-income securities, foreign securities, Canadian securities, etc.) to fully meet the needs of clients.
- Use your financial planning expertise to develop quality plans that exceed client expectations through well-documented investment planning and asset management that highlight factors related to the asset.
- Collaborate and, if necessary, establish a partnership with other sectors of TD and recommend clients to them (e.g., TD Canada Trust, TD Commercial Banking Services, TD Mutual Funds), and adhere to the True Partnership Agreement to enhance the customer experience.
- Lead support staff in providing client services according to CPP standards.
CLIENT ACQUISITION
- Contribute to achieving business objectives by attracting, recruiting, and retaining clients, and proactively identifying sales opportunities and recommendations to improve profitability and foster growth.
- Promote and offer the full range of products and services.
- Support the accurate and timely use of business processes and procedures.
- Protect TD's interests; identify and manage risks, and, if necessary, refer high-risk or non-routine operations or activities to a higher level.
- Ensure that prepared documentation is accurate and correctly reflects the client's or unit's intentions, in compliance with relevant rules and regulations.
- Identify and propose opportunities to improve processes and actively participate in them.
- Ensure the necessary pre-review to guarantee the accuracy of all client operations and activities.
- Stay informed about emerging issues or trends and the evolution of regulatory requirements, and evaluate their potential impact.
- Maintain a risk management and control culture, supported by effective processes that align with the risk appetite.
- Assume responsibility for mitigating operational and regulatory risks by adhering to TD's and the sector's codes of conduct.
- Be thoroughly familiar with TD's service standards, policies, procedures, and controls, as well as the sector's and securities laws and regulations, and comply with them; adhere to the most rigorous ethical standards.
- Be well-versed in and comply with the compliance and OCVM requirements outlined in the CPP policies and procedures and the OCVM rules and regulations. This includes documents on current and new accounts, marketing documents, etc.

SCOPE AND REACH
- Have experience in specialized service delivery, advisory services, or support for processes and programs in your area of specialization.
- Have experience and conceptual and practical knowledge in your own area of specialization, as well as knowledge of broader related areas.
- Take responsibility for your own work, and sometimes for that of others; act as a superior or source of knowledge for others within your own sector.
- Lead projects or areas of work within larger, moderately risky projects; possibly provide advice on common functional activities, processes, and programs.
- Work according to broad guidelines and policies and execute tasks from start to finish, independently.
- Solve moderately complex problems by adopting a new perspective on existing solutions.
- Exercise judgment, based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Provide the commercial context when offering advice in the specialization area to internal or external stakeholders.
- Perform the work with minimal guidance and supervision.
- Address and resolve problems.
- Report to a branch manager.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Professional degree or undergraduate degree
- Registration with the OCVM as a representative and maintain your license in good standing
- Life Insurance Representative License or desire to obtain it within the following year
- CIWM, CFA, CIM, CFP, optional
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) course approved for the Associate Wealth Advisor position (Planning)
- At least 3 years of experience in asset management or support for asset management in meeting client needs
