As a Store Talent and Operations Manager at Sephora, you will manage all aspects related to team members and store operations. You will provide regular support in areas such as staffing, store zone allocation, training and education of beauty consultants, integration of new beauty consultants, store scheduling, and general execution of Sephora's operational standards within the store. Store Talent and Operations Managers report directly to Store Directors and work in synergy with Customer Experience Managers and Beauty Services Managers. They typically manage a team of direct reports, which includes team leaders and beauty consultants.
Your Responsibilities as a Store Talent and Operations Manager at Sephora
- Talent Promotion. Conduct final interviews for all key positions. Use the online applicant tracking system, if needed, to search, select, and hire candidates.
- Training and Development. Manage all training activities within the store. In collaboration with the Store Director and Education Partners, develop and implement the store's continuous training strategy.
- Scheduling and Payroll. Supervise the establishment of the weekly schedule and approve leave requests within the store. Manage the payroll process for the store. Ensure that payroll complies with company, regional, and district directives and is approved according to company standards so that team members can be paid correctly and on time.
- Performance Evaluation and Development. Write and present annual performance evaluations for direct reports in a complete and timely manner, and oversee the process for the entire store. Participate in managing all performance-related situations within the team. Ensure that team members receive timely feedback for improvement purposes and follow up, if necessary.
- Operational Excellence. Lead store operations activities. Ensure the proper execution of all store operations processes in accordance with company standards. Manage store inventory. Tasks include shipping, receiving, and returning merchandise, managing supplies and demonstrators, and conducting cyclic inventory, while ensuring the execution of processes in accordance with company directives and schedules.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit. Act as an expert by demonstrating a strong understanding of store sales, staffing, payroll processes, and all other controllable expenses within the store.
You Might Be the Person We're Looking For If…
- You have two to four years of experience in a management position in the beauty, retail, or customer service industry or equivalent internal experience.
- You have experience in recruitment, staffing, and hiring for all store positions, including management positions.
- You have a proven ability to create highly performing teams and easily identify and develop talents in-store throughout their career journey.
- You have no difficulty maintaining your composure and possess the courage to conduct difficult conversations as a manager.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to clearly and concisely influence business partners at all levels, and know how to use Windows, Word, and Excel.

Location, Availability, and Physical Requirements
- On-site: You will work at the location indicated in the job posting.
- Schedule: Flexibility is the key! You must be available in the evenings, on weekends, and on holidays when our customers want to shop and explore.
- Physical Requirements: Our stores are a fragrant environment. You must be able to bend and stretch to fill the displays and shelves, in addition to lifting and moving weights that can go up to 50 pounds.

The compensation ranges between $54,800.00 CA and $68,500.00 CA. Additionally, you will benefit from performance bonuses, a competitive benefits program, and strong training and development initiatives aimed at promoting employee support and recognition. The final compensation offered will depend on various criteria, including but not limited to the candidate's actual qualifications and experience, as well as any other legitimate and non-discriminatory operational criteria relevant to the position or location.
