Under the authority of the Director of Administration, the Operations Controller plays a key role in the administrative, financial, and operational support of the company. He actively contributes to the monitoring of operational performance, cost control, inventory management, and the continuous improvement of internal processes.
With a rigorous and analytical approach, he ensures the application of control procedures, the optimization of operations, and compliance with the company's standards to ensure efficiency, profitability, and compliance of activities.
Main Responsibilities
Operational and Financial Tracking
- Produce and analyze various performance reports and operational dashboards;
- Monitor operational costs, working hours, and operational expenses;
- Verify, validate, and analyze certain financial and operational data;
- Participate in the tracking of performance indicators to support decision-making.
Inventory Management and Control
- Ensure the tracking and control of tool, equipment, and operational material inventories;
- Participate in inventory audits and conduct periodic checks;
- Analyze inventory discrepancies and recommend corrective actions;
- Ensure compliance with inventory management and control procedures;
- Participate in the implementation of control measures and tracking tools to improve traceability and asset management;
- Conduct field checks to ensure compliance with operational and administrative procedures.
Analysis and Continuous Improvement
- Analyze performance indicators (KPIs) and propose improvement opportunities;
- Participate in the optimization of operational and administrative processes;
- Contribute to the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of internal procedures;
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency, and operational control;
- Support continuous improvement and standardization initiatives.
Administrative Support and Coordination
- Provide support for daily operations and various departments;
- Participate in the preparation of budget forecasts and periodic reports;
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure rigorous tracking of activities and internal controls.
Required Skills
- 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar position;
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, accounting profile, and holding the CPA title (CA, CGA, or CMA), an asset;
- Rigor and organizational sense;
- Strong analytical capacity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills;
- Sense of control, compliance, and professional ethics;
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple files simultaneously;
- Experience in inventory control or operational audit (important asset);
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel;
- Autonomy, initiative, and excellent priority management;
- Excellent communication skills, team spirit, and ability to work in a team;
- Discretion and professionalism;
- Knowledge of ERP tools or inventory management software;
- Knowledge of internal control and audit procedures.
