Under the supervision of the IT Director, you will act as both a business analyst and developer. You will analyze needs, design, develop and integrate technological solutions that optimize our operations and create value for the company.

You will participate in the entire project lifecycle, from analysis to production, while ensuring the performance, reliability and security of our information systems.

Passionate about new technologies, you will have the opportunity to put your knowledge into practice in development, system integration, artificial intelligence, Microsoft Power Platform and automation to contribute concretely to the technological evolution of Valmetal Group.

• Identify improvement opportunities and propose innovative technological solutions
• Analyze user needs and translate them into concrete solutions
• Design, develop and integrate applications, interfaces and APIs
• Participate in the implementation and evolution of a high-performance and sustainable information system ecosystem
• Perform tests to ensure the quality of delivered solutions
• Contribute to information security by applying best practices
• Document developments, integrations and procedures
• Participate in the design of software architecture
• Model and optimize business processes
• Develop dashboards and support decision-making using data (BI)

Keys to your success

• DEC in computer science or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience in system integration (API, interconnections, data exchanges)
• Experience in developing Web and Desktop applications
• Good mastery of .NET, C#, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS and HTML
• Good knowledge of SQL, T-SQL, Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio
• Knowledge of source code management platforms
• Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) (asset)
• Understanding of business processes in a manufacturing environment (asset)
• Good mastery of French and English, both spoken and written, to collaborate with our teams outside Quebec (approximately 60% of communications)
