Technical Sales Representative

Preston Phipps is seeking a Technical Sales Representative for the city of Quebec.

The Role

You will be responsible for business development in your assigned territory.

Your success will depend on your ability to understand clients' systems, identify added-value opportunities, and propose tailored technical solutions.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop sales and manage the assigned territory.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with end-users, contractors, and engineering firms.
• Identify and develop new clients and projects.
• Advise clients on equipment selection and optimization.
• Manage projects: RFPs, documentation, and handover to the internal team.
• Maintain the CRM (contacts, opportunities, forecasts).
• Ensure active field presence and prioritize in-person meetings.
• Collaborate with internal teams and manufacturer partners.
• Monitor market, competition, and industry trends.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (asset).
• DEC in Engineering + relevant experience accepted.
• Experience in technical sales or industrial environment.
• Knowledge in HVAC, hydronic, industrial, laboratory, or control systems (asset).
• Bilingual (French and English), sufficient to communicate professionally with English-speaking clients and suppliers (15%).
• Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.
• Autonomy, diligence, and strong commercial motivation.
• Excellent technical sense and problem-solving ability.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
