Description

Do you enjoy helping relationships and proximity with users? Is your leadership and your ability to maintain constructive and harmonious interpersonal relationships with the user, their family, and the interdisciplinary team members your distinctive marks? The Health and Social Services Assistant (HSSA) accompanies and supports the user in a set of tasks to supplement their incapacities in performing daily life or household activities. The HSSA can practice their profession with youth, adult, or elderly clients in various settings such as a living unit, group home, or rehabilitation or accommodation environment. Specifically, while focusing on stimulating the user's autonomy in their care, the HSSA will ensure the user's hygiene, well-being, comfort, supervision, and respond to their general needs.

The HSSA will inform the team of any observed changes in the user's physical, cognitive, or psychological health status and their needs. In collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, this person will participate in the user's intervention plan and promote the user's integration and socialization through individual and community activities.

Programs Direction DI-TSA-DP

• AEP-DEP express from MSSS or,
• Hold a DEP in person assistance in health establishment or at home or,
• Hold an AEC in intervention in life environment with people in loss of autonomy or,
• Have completed one year of training in DEP in health, assistance, and nursing care or,
• Have completed one year of college or university-level training related to the job (for example: special education, social work, delinquency intervention, police techniques, psychoeducation, nursing care, etc.) or,
• Hold a high school diploma
• The mixed stabilization unit Le Phare located in La Pocatière is looking for part-time or full-time employees. This unit aims to meet the needs of young people aged 6 to 17 with a disability or autism spectrum disorder and manifesting behavioral issues, in a youth protection intervention context.
• *The services offered to young people in this unit are structured around three aspects:*

*– Integration, which involves adapting to the new environment and beginning clinical observations; *– Stabilization-rehabilitation, which involves intensive interventions aimed at reducing problematic behaviors and developing adaptive skills; *– Transition, which involves planning for a more normalizing living environment, in line with the young person's life project.**

Mental Health and Dependency Programs Direction

• AEP-DEP express from MSSS or,
• Hold a DEP in person assistance in health establishment or at home or,
• Hold an AEC in intervention in life environment with people in loss of autonomy or,
• Have completed one year of training in DEP in health, assistance, and nursing care or,
• Have completed one year of college or university-level training related to the job (for example: special education, social work, delinquency intervention, police techniques, psychoeducation, nursing care, etc.).
• Must possess a valid driver's license,
• Hold OMÉGA and RCR training is an asset,
• Hold experience with a client base having particular needs, presenting behavioral disorders or attachment difficulties is an asset.

Youth Protection and Youth Program Direction

• AEP-DEP express from MSSS or,
• Hold a DEP in person assistance in health establishment or at home or,
• Hold an AEC in intervention in life environment with people in loss of autonomy or,
• Have completed one year of training in DEP in health, assistance, and nursing care or,
• Have completed one year of college or university-level training related to the job (for example: special education, social work, delinquency intervention, police techniques, psychoeducation, nursing care, etc.) or,
• Hold a high school diploma and have a strong interest in working with a client base presenting various behavioral or mental health issues.
• Must possess a valid driver's license,
• Hold OMÉGA and RCR training is an asset,
• Hold experience with a client base having particular needs, presenting behavioral disorders or attachment difficulties is an asset.
