Description

Are you a meticulous person who enjoys conducting research, gathering information, analyzing it, and interpreting it? Do you possess computer skills and are interested in learning new software to streamline your daily work?

As a Medical Archivist, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Analyze files to ensure the presence and compliance of necessary information for the creation of an accurate and complete file,
• Code and index relevant file elements,
• Ensure access to the user's file for authorized individuals, in accordance with privacy laws, regulations, and policies,
• Monitor the user's file retention schedule,
• Collaborate in the sound management of the medical archives service,
• Participate, if necessary, in the orientation and training of staff and interns regarding file management, compliance with laws, and other topics related to this service.

Requirements

Must hold a college diploma (DEC) in medical archives or a medical archivist diploma from a recognized school by the competent ministry or a diploma recognized by the Association of Health Information Managers of Quebec or the College of Medical Archivists of Canada (Association of Medical Archivists of Canada).

• Other Requirements:

Possessing representative experience in accessing information, as well as analyzing and coding, will be considered an asset,
